CA V. Manickam

CA V. Manickam is a seasoned insurance and financial services leader with over four decades of experience spanning life insurance, investments, regulation, governance, and financial management.

A Fellow Chartered Accountant and Science graduate from the University of Madras, he has held several distinguished leadership positions within the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), including Managing Director & CEO of LIC Pension Fund Limited, Executive Director (Investment Monitoring & Accounting), and Chief (Investment).

Over nearly three decades at LIC, Mr Manickam played a key role in shaping investment strategies, governance frameworks, and financial oversight across the organisation. Following his retirement from LIC, he served as Secretary General of the Life Insurance Council for eight years, contributing significantly to policy development, industry representation, and regulatory engagement within the Indian insurance sector.

Throughout his career, he has been a member of numerous committees constituted by IRDAI, PFRDA, and ICAI, and has represented leading institutions on matters related to investments, governance, policyholder protection, and industry development. He has also served as a nominee and independent director on the boards of several prominent organisations across the financial services and corporate sectors.

Currently, Mr Manickam serves as an Independent Director on the boards of multiple companies and contributes to various audit, investment, governance, and policyholder protection committees. His extensive experience in insurance regulation, investment management, corporate governance, and policyholder advocacy brings invaluable strategic insight to the Advisory Board.

Ravi Krishnamurthy

Ravi Krishnamurthy is a seasoned banking and insurance professional with over four decades of leadership experience across banking, insurance, operations, technology, customer service, and business transformation.

He retired as President – Operations & Information Technology at SBI Life Insurance, where he played a key role in driving the company’s growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric transformation.

Over the course of his career with SBI, ICICI Bank, and SBI Life, Mr Krishnamurthy has led several strategic initiatives spanning business development, marketing, operations, technology, and service delivery. As part of the founding teams that helped build ICICI Bank’s retail banking franchise and SBI Life Insurance, he contributed significantly to the growth and evolution of two of India’s leading financial services institutions.

He brings extensive expertise in corporate governance, business strategy, risk management, leadership development, and change management. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Directors and a certified quality professional, Mr Krishnamurthy has been instrumental in implementing scalable operating models and transformation programs that have supported sustainable growth and organisational excellence.

As a member of the Advisory Board, he provides strategic guidance on governance, customer experience, operational efficiency, technology-led transformation, and long-term business growth.

CA Shahul Hameed

CA Shahul Hameed brings over 35 years of distinguished experience in the insurance sector, having served in various supervisory, managerial, and senior leadership roles at United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC). 

During his tenure, he held several key positions at the top management level, overseeing critical functions including Human Resources, Training, Vigilance, Legal Affairs, Employee Benefits, Internal Audit, Investments, Finance, and Accounts.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr Hameed served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Investment Officer (CIO), and General Manager (Finance & Audit), playing a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance and operational excellence within the organisation. He also led the company’s marketing division, driving business development, customer engagement, and partnerships with brokers, agents, bancassurance channels, and corporate intermediaries.

Throughout his career, he served on numerous strategic committees, including Audit, Investment, Risk Management, Recruitment & Promotion, and Estate Committees, and chaired the Provident Fund and Pension Trust of the company. He retired as General Manager from UIIC in March 2021.

Following his retirement, Mr Hameed commenced professional practice and has successfully led statutory and tax audits for companies across diverse sectors, including automotive, agri-tech, SaaS, e-commerce, and estate management. His deep expertise in insurance, finance, governance, and risk management makes him a valuable advisor to the organisation.

Ravinarayanan Krishnamurthy

Ravinarayanan Krishnamurthy brings over 41 years of distinguished experience in the general insurance industry, having held senior leadership positions across India, East Africa, and the Caribbean. 

His career spans established insurance organisations, greenfield ventures, business turnarounds, and organisational transformation, giving him extensive expertise in insurance operations, governance, and strategic leadership. During his career, Mr. Ravinarayanan served as Chief Executive Officer of leading general insurance companies in Tanzania, where he successfully established a new insurer from the ground up, led the turnaround of a loss-making company into a profitable enterprise, and drove sustainable growth through change management and operational excellence. He also held senior leadership roles with The New India Assurance Company Limited in India and internationally, including assignments in Aruba and Trinidad & Tobago.

Known for his strong focus on people, culture, governance, and performance management, Mr. Ravinarayanan has consistently championed high standards of compliance, process excellence, and organisational development throughout his career. His expertise spans business strategy, risk management, operational efficiency, and leadership development, enabling organisations to achieve sustainable growth and improved business performance.
